The “Boz Bazar” and “Navruz” farmers’ markets located in Tashkent’s Mirzo Ulugbek District will undergo full-scale reconstruction and be reorganized based on modern infrastructure standards. The district administration’s press service reported this.
According to the statement, the operations of the Navruz farmers’ market and the Boz Bazar branch were reviewed by the First Deputy Prosecutor of Tashkent City A.A. Urmanov, Deputy Prosecutor U.T. Mamarajabov, Mirzo Ulugbek District Governor B. Ghoibnazarov, and Mirzo Ulugbek District Prosecutor O.M. Mannonov.
A set of comprehensive measures has been outlined to fundamentally modernize the markets, eliminate elements of the shadow economy, and introduce modern management mechanisms.
“The markets will be digitized in stages to ensure transparency and openness in trading processes,” the statement said.
In addition, the market areas will be fully reconstructed and reorganized in line with modern infrastructure requirements. A dedicated situation center will be established on the market premises to function as a unified coordination hub for all economic, financial, and oversight processes.
“The entire architectural layout and interior design of the markets were thoroughly analyzed during the planning phase and developed in accordance with the most advanced international standards. This approach will support the lawful activities of trading entities and promote the expansion of cashless payments,” the statement said.
It is worth noting that earlier, a fire broke out at the Aviasozlar market in Tashkent’s Yashnobod District.
