Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulates Mirziyoyev on Navruz

President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping congratulated President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of Navruz. This was reported by the presidential press service.  

“Dear President, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you for your congratulations on the occasion of the Chinese New Year. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, I would like to convey our sincere congratulations to you and the government and people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the traditional Navruz holiday of the Uzbek people,” the congratulatory message reads.  

It was also noted that Navruz, with its thousand-year history, symbolizes the arrival of spring and the awakening of nature, reflecting the Uzbek people's aspirations for a happy life, national unity, and prosperity.  

“During our sincere and friendly meeting within the framework of the SCO summit held in Astana in July last year, we reached important agreements on the further development of China-Uzbek relations and cooperation in various fields, and identified new directions for bilateral relations,” the letter says.  

Xi Jinping expressed satisfaction that the agreements reached are being effectively implemented, with mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries consistently strengthened and yielding noteworthy results.  

“I attach great importance to the development of China-Uzbekistan relations and highly value our close friendship. I am ready to work with you to promote cooperation in all fields and enrich the work of building a community with a shared future between China and Uzbekistan. Taking this opportunity, I wish you, Your Excellency, good health, family happiness, and success in your responsible work as the head of state, and peace, prosperity, and continued development and prosperity to the friendly people of Uzbekistan,” the congratulatory message reads.  

It should be recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump have also previously congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of Navruz.
