Well-known Uzbek football expert Mukhtor Hoshimov passes away

Mukhtor Hoshimov, a significant figure in the development of Uzbek football, has passed away, as confirmed by the press service of the Football Association of Uzbekistan.
Born in 1948, Hoshimov started his football career at the Pakhtakor football school in 1960 and won the Youth Cup with the Uzbekistan national team in 1965. He played for teams including "Politotdel", "Dimitrovets", and "Oq Oltin" during his playing career.
Transitioning into coaching in 1972, Hoshimov became an influential administrator in Uzbekistan's football scene. In 1993, he was appointed head of the mass football department at the Football Federation of Uzbekistan, later heading the competitions department in 2006. From 2009 to 2017, he served as the first vice-president of the Futsal Association of Uzbekistan. In his later years, he chaired the UFA's Committee on the Status and Transfer of Players. His contributions to Uzbek football were widely recognized and respected.
