Uzbek taekwondo athletes top world rankings

On February 11, the World Taekwondo Federation released its updated world rankings for February. Two members of Uzbekistan’s national team, Najmiddin Qosikhojiyev and Svetlana Osipova, are leading in their respective weight categories, the national Taekwondo WT Association’s press service reported.
According to the updated rankings, Najmiddin Qosimkhojiyev leads the 74 kg weight category with 185.40 points. Svetlana Osipova tops the 73 kg and above weight category with 210.20 ranking points.
In addition, Jahongir Khudoyberdiyev is ranked third in the under-54 kg category.
Earlier, Najmiddin Qosimkhojiyev won gold and Svetlana Osipova claimed silver at the World Taekwondo Championships in Wuxi, China.
