The project facilitating the entry of Uzbek builders into Russia has been suspended

The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, signed a decree to suspend the pilot program to attract citizens of Uzbekistan to Russia to work in construction facilities.  The document was published yesterday, 21 February, on the official website of legal information.

According to the document, the decision of the government on 6 October 2021 to implement the project to attract 10,000 builders from Uzbekistan to the country has been suspended.

The initiative to suspend the project was put forward by the Ministry of Labor of Russia in mid-February of this year.

It should be recalled that last week the Ministry of Labor of Russia proposed to stop the pilot project to attract builders from Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation, which started in 2021.

According to the project, the decision of the government on 6 October 2021 will be suspended.  The project envisaged attracting 10,000 builders from Uzbekistan to the country.
