Anomalous cold is coming to Uzbekistan.  -27 degrees is expected

On 9 January this year, a cold air mass formed in the northern regions of the European part of Russia, will enter the territory of Uzbekistan from the Volga region.  Uzgidromet General Director Sherzodhoja Khabibullaev urgently gave information about this on his Facebook page

He stated that between 9-11 January there will be precipitation (rain, snow) in a large part of the territory of the republic.  It will snow in the foothills and mountainous regions, and it will be heavy in some places.

On 9-10 January, the wind may increase to 15-20 m/s in some places.

Anomalous cold weather is expected in the republic between 10-15 January.  Air temperatures at night up to 12-17 degrees below zero, during the day up to 5-8 degrees below zero, in the north up to 17-22 degrees below zero at night, in some places in Ustyurt and desert regions up to 25-27 degrees below zero, during the day up to 7-10 degrees below zero, in the south and in the Fergana Valley at night 5-10 to cold, during the day it drops to 2-5 degrees cold.

The roads will be slippery in some places.
