It was Revealed How Much Money Will be Spent on Presidential Elections in Uzbekistan?

The Central Election Commission has announced today, the 19th of May, that the estimated expenses for the upcoming presidential election in the Republic of Uzbekistan, scheduled for the 9th of July this year, amount to 174,130 million Uzbekistani soms.  This figure was presented during a regular meeting of the Central Election Commission dedicated to the presidential election.

It was highlighted that 19.8% of the total funds allocated from the state budget were saved for the 2019 election of representative bodies, 26% for the 2021 presidential election, and 13.5% for this year's referendum.

Adham Ibodullayev, a member of the Central Election Commission, stated that the estimate for the preparation and conduct of the early presidential election amounts to 174, 130 million soms, complying with the requirements of the Election Code.  This amount represents a 41% reduction compared to the previous presidential election.

During the meeting, it was also mentioned that 19, 655 million soms will be allocated for activities related to political parties, election campaigns, and promotional events for candidates nominated by political parties.  Each candidate will receive 4, 914 million soms.  
The budget for the preparation and conduct of the election was approved during the meeting.
