In Uzbekistan, hunters are granted the official status of hunting control inspectors, as per the decision outlined in Cabinet of Ministers No. 609, titled "On measures to elevate the activity of hunters' public associations to a new level in terms of quality in the field of public safety."

The model regulation for public hunting control inspectors was endorsed by the document, which specifies the following:

•    The activities of public inspectors may be organized within the framework of public associations of hunters registered with judicial authorities.
•    The number of inspectors is determined based on the number and location of hunters' associations.
•    Inspectors operate on a voluntary basis, without the signing of employment contracts or consideration of seniority.
•    Inspectors can engage in tasks only during their free time from their primary workplace.
•    The application process will be completed within 30 days by the management body of the public association of hunters, with the involvement of representatives from the Forestry Agency of the Ministry of Ecology and internal affairs bodies.
•    Upon approval of the application, the individual will be issued a certificate valid for a period of 3 years.

The primary responsibilities of the public inspector include:

•    Notifying relevant state bodies responsible for nature protection and hunting associations about violations in the field of nature use.
•    Participating in patrol raids conducted by inspectors responsible for nature protection, aimed at preventing and detecting violations in the field.
•    Reporting to law enforcement agencies about strangers and suspicious persons in border areas.

Additionally, special training courses on the safe use of weapons are emphasized, covering the following aspects:

•    Approval of the regulation on short-term special training courses.
•    Admission procedures for the course.
•    Determination of the size of the training program.
•    Issuance of relevant certificates.
•    Establishment of procedures for maintaining the register of persons who have completed the courses.
