In Uzbekistan, electricity worth 95 billion soums was stolen within one month

4191Due to the unauthorized consumption of electricity and natural gas by 995 consumers in Uzbekistan, a total of 94 billion 542 million soums in damages were incurred within a month. This information was reported by "Ozenergoinspektsia."
During monitoring activities in January of this year, illegal consumption of energy resources by 995 consumers was identified. It was found that 20,486,000 kWh of electricity and 47,387,000 cubic meters of natural gas were unlawfully consumed, resulting in a total loss of 94,542,000,000 soums.
Throughout all regions of the republic, the inspectorate implemented 24,969 preventive measures and registered 937 administrative cases for violations of energy resource usage regulations.
Compliance checks regarding energy efficiency, accident prevention, and technical safety were conducted in 14 state enterprises and institutions. Additionally, examinations were conducted on 1,540 facilities and 2,565 social sphere establishments in relation to the activities performed by supply enterprises.
To address the installation of reactive power compensating devices, educational outreach was conducted among business entities, and instructions were provided to 13,145 consumers.
