In August, temperatures begin to gradually decrease. This information is based on Uzgidromet's weather forecast for August.

It is noted that the average monthly temperature in August across the republic will be 1.5 to 2.5 degrees lower than in July. The absolute maximum temperature in August will also be lower than the maximum recorded in July.

For instance, the highest air temperature ever recorded in Tashkent was 44.6 degrees Celsius in July (1997), whereas in August, it was 43.1 degrees (1944).

In the past decade, the highest temperature recorded in August was 41.8 degrees in 2019. In Termiz, the southernmost city of the republic, the highest temperatures were 48.6 degrees in July (1914) and 46.3 degrees in August (1947). Although August is not as hot as July, it remains a very hot month.

Daytime temperatures in most regions during August range between 33-38 degrees, and in the southern and desert areas, they range between 37-42 degrees. During peak heat, temperatures can reach 40-42 degrees, and in some southern and desert areas, 43-45 degrees. However, by mid-August, the approach of autumn becomes noticeable. The frequency of cool air inflows increases, and the number of days with temperatures above 40 degrees significantly decreases compared to July.

In the first five days of the month, daytime temperatures can reach 39-41 degrees and 42-44 degrees in the south. Later, the heat will decrease slightly, and by the end of the first ten days, daytime temperatures will be around 36-39 degrees, and in some southern areas, 40-42 degrees. In the second and third ten days, temperatures will vary from 22-25 degrees at night to 17-20 degrees, and from 35-38 degrees during the day to 30-33 degrees. August is expected to be dry, with precipitation around the monthly norm, although some areas may experience less than the norm. There may be short-term rain on some days in the last ten days of the month.
