15971Uzbekistan has been recognized as the safest country in the world, according to the "Security Perceptions 2023" (SPI) index.
The SPI index included a list of 121 countries. A global survey was conducted to assess how safe citizens feel in their country of residence. The survey evaluated various factors such as food and water scarcity, levels of violence, weather conditions, mental health, and workplace safety.
Uzbekistan ranked first with a risk level of 0.072 percent. The United Arab Emirates ranked second with 0.073 percent, followed by Saudi Arabia with 0.093 percent.
Among neighboring countries, Kazakhstan ranked 14th with a risk level of 0.128 percent, Tajikistan 17th with 0.130 percent, Kyrgyzstan 26th with 0.155 percent, and Afghanistan 112th with 0.397 percent.
The West African Republic of Mali ranked last with a risk score of 0.587 percent.
