3010The Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan conducted the "Cooperation-2024" military exercise at the Forish training ground in the Jizzakh region, as reported by the Ministry of Defense.
The exercise’s active stage took place at the "Forish" training ground, with the participation of high-ranking officials including Lieutenant General Sultan Kamaletdinov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, and Major General Shuhrat Kholmukhamedov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan.
During the first phase of the exercise, a small armed group simulated an illegal crossing of the state border via mountain roads and took up positions in local residential areas. The group's terrorist actions were designed to distract attention and create favorable conditions for operations in other directions.
In the second phase, the simulated enemy massed large units near the borders of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, preparing for an attack. The military forces of both countries practiced response algorithms for this scenario, focusing on preventing subversive activities and countering large-scale assaults on key strategic targets.
The exercises included a range of combat operations, such as joint unit management in combat situations, ensuring border security, and neutralizing the simulated enemy. The successful execution of these tasks demonstrated the effective coordination and cooperation between the military forces of both nations.
At the conclusion of the exercise, Lieutenant General Kamaletdinov and Major General Kholmukhamedov recognized and awarded distinguished servicemen for their professionalism and significant contributions to the joint training exercise.
Earlier, the "Ashiq Aspan-2024" international operational-tactical command-staff training was held, involving military personnel from the Air Forces and air defense specialists of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
