Bus traffic between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan is resumed

Today, 12 April, after a long break, the bus service between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan has been resumed.

Currently, the following international bus routes operate from the Tashkent bus station:

- 12:00 Tashkent - Shymkent - 60,000 som
- 16:00 Tashkent – Almaty - 200,000 som
- 17:00 Tashkent – Almaty - 200,000 som
- 18:00 Tashkent - Nur-Sultan - 350,000 som
- 18:00 Tashkent – Almaty - 200,000 som
- 18:00 Tashkent - Khujand (Tajikistan) – 100,000 som
- 19:00 Tashkent – Turkestan – 100,000 som
- 19:00 Tashkent - Kyzylorda - 200,000 som
- 19:30 Tashkent – Almaty – 200,000 som

It should be recalled that on 15 March this year, at a meeting of the Republican Special Commission on additional measures to be taken to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan and to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population, it was announced that international passenger train services between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as bus services on a parity basis, would be resumed in strict compliance with quarantine requirements.

However, the opening of the border by the Kazakh side was delayed. The official Nur-Sultan opened the land border with Uzbekistan on 11 April of the current year.
