The Name of the Third Candidate for the Presidency of Uzbekistan is Announced

17103UzA has reported that Robakhon Mahmudova Anvarovna, a candidate from the social-democratic party "Adolat" has been improved for consideration at the congress as a potential presidential candidate.
Prior to this, Mahmudova served as the chairwoman of the criminal court in the Fergana region and as a judge in the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 29th of August 2008. From 2017 to 2020, she held the position of Head of Public Receptions for the President of Uzbekistan in Fergana region.
In January 2020, Mahmudova was elected as a Senator of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and assumed the role of Chairperson of the Committee on Science, Education, and Health. Additionally, on 13th of July 2020, she was elected as the First Deputy Chairperson of the Oliy Court of Uzbekistan by the decision of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
In recognition of her contributions, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev bestowed upon her the Order "For Sacrifice" on 6th of March 2020.
It is worth noting that Abdushukur Khudoykulovich Hamzayev submitted his candidacy for the presidency from the Ecological Party on the 11th of May. Similarly, Ulugbek Ilyasovich Inoyatov from the People's Democratic Party has been approved for consideration as a presidential candidate at the party's congress, which took place today, the 12th May.
