2417In the past three years, Uzbekistan has successfully reduced its poverty rate from 17% to 11%, improving the living conditions for 3 million individuals in need of assistance. To build on this momentum, the government is committed to continuing reforms aimed at supporting the vulnerable population and further decreasing the poverty level to 7% over the next three years.
To achieve this ambitious goal, effective measures are being implemented. One notable initiative is the proposal for tax incentives aimed at encouraging the hiring of economically disadvantaged individuals, put forward by the social-democratic party "Adolat."
Looking at successful foreign practices, countries like China provide various tax incentives for businesses that employ individuals from low-income families, single mothers, and elderly citizens without support. For instance, businesses that hire disabled individuals can receive property and land tax incentives ranging from 50% to 100%.
The initiative from the "Adolat" party is designed to actively engage business entities in the fight against poverty, facilitating their participation in targeted reforms. This will not only contribute to the well-being of the population but also bolster the national economy.
