Uzbekistan defeats Panama by a wide margin

On November 11, the Uzbekistan U-17 national team faced their Panamanian counterparts in the final group-stage match of the World Cup taking place in Qatar. The Uzbek youth secured a 6-1 victory, ensuring their qualification from the group.

The first half was challenging for both teams. Despite several opportunities, neither side managed to score. Notably, in the 21st minute, goalkeeper Ibrohim Shokirov saved a penalty from the Panamanian side.

The second half began with Uzbekistan asserting dominance. In the 48th minute, Abubakir Shukurullaev opened the scoring. Five minutes later, Sadriddin Hasanov added a second goal. Saifiddin Sodiqov scored Uzbekistan’s third in the 68th minute. In the added time, Jamshidbek Rustamov and Asilbek Aliev each found the net, bringing the score to 5-0. One minute later, Abdusamad Saidov converted a penalty, extending the lead to 6-0. Towards the end of the match, Panamanian player Joseph Pacheco scored, registering his team’s only goal.

Thanks to the six goals scored in the second half, Uzbekistan decisively secured their advancement from the group stage.
