Uzbekistan borrows $170 million from the ADB

Uzbekistan plans to receive a $170 million loan from the Asian Development Bank to finance the "Electromobility Program" of the Green Climate Fund.


Negotiations were held between the First Deputy Minister of Transport, Mamanbiy Omarov, and representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). It was reported that out of the planned allocation of $170 million, $65 million are grants, and the remaining $105 million are loan funds.


The funds will be directed towards eliminating obstacles to the popularization of commercial electric cars, deploying a fleet of electric buses and auxiliary infrastructure, and improving the public transport system.


We remind you that an agreement in the amount of $93 million was signed between Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank for the "Development of Skills for the Modern Economy" project.
