“Uzbekistan” Congratulates the Ukraine

On 9 February, felicitations were given to the Ukraine by inscribing «Happy Unity Day, Ukraine» on the facade of «The Uzbekistan hotel» to celebrate the Unity Day of Ukraine.
A hotel representative informed QALAMPIR.UZ that the it was the Ukraine Embassy in Uzbekistan who pushed for the inscription «Happy Unity Day Ukraine» to be displayed.
"Yesterday the Unity Day of Ukraine was celebrated. So, the Ukraine embassy asked us to display some words of congratulation on the facade of the hotel. We stated that we would not present the flag itself and the congratulations would be displayed in Uzbek and Ukrainian languages. We have their letter that simply expresses congratulation in relation to the holiday, not the position of the State. The Ukraine is our friend,” The hotel representative said.
He pointed out that the action was not taken to discriminate against one country, but to glorify another.
For reference, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky declared February 16 as Unity Day, when Russia is expected to invade the country.
