Uzbekistan completes WTO accession talks with China

2648Uzbekistan has completed bilateral negotiations with China on its accession to the World Trade Organization. This was reported by the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for the World Trade Organization, Azizbek Urunov, on his LinkedIn page.
"It was a very short but productive visit to Beijing. Bilateral negotiations with the People's Republic of China have come to an end," wrote Azizbek Urunov.
In Beijing, he held talks with the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, Deputy Minister Li Fei, and Director of the Department Li Defeng.
"The end of the year was very meaningful for Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization - negotiations with the two largest global traders - America and China - have been completed," says the Special Representative of the President.
For your information, Uzbekistan has completed negotiations with 22 countries on joining the World Trade Organization.
We would like to remind you that earlier this month, Uzbekistan completed bilateral negotiations with the United States on joining the World Trade Organization. The parties are currently preparing to sign a memorandum of understanding on market access. This will make the United States the 21st country to complete bilateral negotiations with Uzbekistan on joining the World Trade Organization.
