Uzbekistan remains with IBA

The Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan, which recently joined the World Boxing Organization, has not withdrawn from the International Boxing Association (IBA), a source from QALAMPIR.UZ reported.
Although Uzbekistan now holds membership in World Boxing, its athletes will continue to compete in IBA tournaments, including the upcoming IBA Asian Championships in Jordan this month.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) does not recognize the IBA, led by Russian Umar Kremlev, and as a result, boxing has been excluded from the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Alongside Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Guatemala, and Laos have also joined the World Boxing Organization, which was established in April 2023 and currently includes 55 member countries.
