Plans for Uzbekistan-Canada cooperation expand in 2025

Uzbekistan is considering opening a Consulate General in Canada as part of its broader strategy to deepen ties with countries in the Americas. This proposal is outlined in the draft State Program for 2025, which has been made available for public discussion.  

The draft program includes plans to hold political consultations with Canada, Brazil, and Cuba. Additionally, Uzbekistan aims to strengthen economic collaboration by attracting companies from Canada, Brazil, Argentina, and other nations to participate in joint projects and economic events in Uzbekistan.  

The proposed program highlights opportunities for expanding cooperation with Cuba in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. Moreover, Uzbekistan seeks to exchange expertise with Latin American countries known for their advanced agricultural practices.  

The state program also mentions fostering partnerships with representatives of the new U.S. administration, signaling Uzbekistan’s intent to enhance relations with key global players.  

This initiative underscores Uzbekistan’s commitment to diversifying its international partnerships and fostering collaboration across various regions and sectors.
