The Uzbekistan national football team may face Brazil in a friendly match this October, according to information posted on Wikipedia.

The platform states that the match is scheduled for October 10, 2025, and will be held at Saitama City Stadium in Japan. This detail appears on the Wikipedia page dedicated to the Uzbekistan national team. However, the same information is not listed on the Brazilian national team’s page, though it does mention that Brazil will play a friendly match on October 10. Additionally, the five-time world champions are expected to face Japan on October 14 as part of the “Kirin Challenge Cup.”

QALAMPIR.UZ reached out to an official from the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) to verify this information. The official stated that there is currently no official confirmation of such a match. However, he noted that if the Uzbekistan national team qualifies for the World Cup, a friendly against Brazil could become a possibility.

For context, Uzbekistan is scheduled to face the United Arab Emirates on June 5 and Qatar on June 10 in Tashkent as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The team, led by Temur Kapadze, is currently in second place in Group A with 17 points. A draw against the UAE would be enough to secure early qualification for the next round.
