4938On September 15, 12 documents were signed at the Uzbek-American Business Forum held in Washington. This was reported by the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade.
On the eve of the President's visit to the USA, an Uzbek-American Business Forum was held in Washington. Twelve documents were signed in the fields of energy, mechanical engineering, ICT, agriculture, financial-technical, and scientific-technical cooperation.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Khodjayev, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, the Chairman of the Board of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, Carolyn Lemm, the President of Eximbank USA, Reta Jo Lewis, and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Das Mark Pommersheim, spoke.
The Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, heads of relevant ministries and agencies of the two countries, industrial associations, commercial banks, investment structures, as well as large US corporations operating in the fields of ICT, engineering, agriculture, light industry, transport, banking, and other sectors, participated.
Prospects of cooperation in economic sectors such as the mining industry, chemical and energy industry, textiles, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and information technologies were discussed at the forum.
During the event, separate sessions were held on the issues of global competition, supply chain stability, business environment development, innovation promotion, strategic forecasting, privatization, and financial and technical cooperation.
"The business forum continued with meetings of the heads of ministries, departments, industry associations, and leading companies of Uzbekistan and the USA in the format of "G2B" and "B2B." Participants had the opportunity to discuss in detail the establishment of joint ventures and the conclusion of mutually beneficial trade agreements.
At the end of the event, 12 documents were signed in the fields of energy, mechanical engineering, ICT, agriculture, financial-technical, scientific-technical cooperation, and the production of medical and pharmaceutical products."
