As of 1 July, of the current year, the permanent population of Uzbekistan is 35,603,443 people. Since the beginning of the year, the growth rate of the permanent population increased by 0.9%. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee.
It is noted that the population of the country has increased by an average of 55.3 thousand people every month since the beginning of the year. On each day of 2022, the permanent population has increased by 1.8 thousand people.
According to the committee, as of 1 July 2022, 1km. square area of the country is inhabited by an average of 79.3 permanent population. This is 1.7 people more compared to the same period last year (77.6 people per 1km sq. 2021).
The number of people living in urban areas is 18,117,000 and in rural areas, 17,486,004 people.
