The number of permanent residents in Uzbekistan is increasing by an average of 2,100 people every day, according to the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As of January 1, 2024, the permanent population of the Republic of Uzbekistan reached 36,799,756 people, marking a 2.2% increase from the same period last year.
Since the beginning of 2023, the country's population has grown by 774,800, with almost 200,000 added in the last four months alone. This signifies an average increase of 64,600 people per month or 2,100 people per day.
It's worth noting that as of October 1, 2023, the permanent population of the republic stood at 36,599,764 people.
