Uzbekistan national football team goalkeeper Otkir Yusupov has successfully undergone knee surgery in Austria. This was reported by the Uzbekistan Football Association.
According to the report, today, on October 15, the footballer will be discharged from the clinic where he received treatment and will continue his rehabilitation process at a specialized medical center called “Armonia.” The recovery process will be carried out under the supervision of qualified specialists.
“The Uzbekistan Football Association wishes Otkir Yusupov a full recovery and an early return to the field,” the statement said.
It should be noted that Yusupov sustained an injury during the CAFA Nations Cup 2025 final match between the national teams of Uzbekistan and Iran, which forced him to leave the pitch.
Earlier, it was reported that for Yusupov’s surgery, experienced specialist Fink Kristian, who has previously worked with footballers such as Sadio Mane, Federico Chiesa, Lucas Hernandez, Leroy Sane, and David Alaba, had been involved.
