In 2025, courts in Uzbekistan handled more than 4 million cases. This was reported yesterday, February 4, at a press conference held at the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan by Alisher Usmonov, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Criminal Panel.
Specifically, the caseload included over 2 million civil cases, 63,000 criminal cases, 91,800 criminal-related materials, 691,000 administrative offense cases, 357,000 materials arising from offense cases, 51,200 sanctions and enforcement measures, more than 690,000 economic cases, and 18,400 disputes related to decisions and actions of administrative bodies.
Of the more than 4 million cases reviewed, only 3.3 percent were appealed or protested to higher courts, while in 96.7 percent of cases, the parties accepted the court decisions.
It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that nearly 422 people were acquitted in 2025.
