Criminal group attempting to sell narcotics for $9,000 was apprehended in Urgut

Authorities in the Urgut district of Samarkand region uncovered a criminal group involved in illegal drug trafficking. The information was reported by a reliable source.

The State Security Service of the Samarkand region identified citizens T.K. (born in 1983, residing in the Uzun neighborhood), O.D. (born in 1984, residing in Goyibota neighborhood), and T.M. (born in 1991, residing in Quyiqishloq neighborhood) as participants in the illegal drug trade.

To halt the criminal group's activities, T.H., O.D., and T.M. were apprehended by an operative team while attempting to sell 1.2 kilograms of opium for $9,000 in the Urgut district. The arrest was conducted with the participation of impartial witnesses.

A criminal case has been initiated against the aforementioned individuals in accordance with the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the investigation is ongoing.
