“Hit and fled”. Isuzu driver strikes three people in Boysun (video)

An Isuzu truck driver fled the scene after hitting three individuals in the Boysun district of Surkhandarya region, resulting in two fatalities. This was reported by the Regional Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) of Surkhandarya.

The incident occurred on October 7 in the Boysun district. The driver of a Captiva, along with two passengers, had stopped by the roadside on the M-39 highway to refuel their car when they were struck by an unknown vehicle that immediately fled the scene. The driver and one of the passengers died on the spot, while the second passenger was rushed to the hospital.

Following an investigation, authorities discovered that the victims were hit by an Isuzu truck, whose driver fled without reporting the accident. Swift measures led to the identification of the suspect, who was located driving the truck in the Syrdarya region. The 56-year-old driver was apprehended and brought to the Boysun district police station.

A criminal case has been initiated, and the suspect is currently in detention under procedural law.

Earlier, in the Altinkol district of the Andijan region, a similar hit-and-run occurred when the driver of a Nexia-2 struck a pedestrian and fled the scene. Despite medical attention, the victim succumbed to their injuries.
