Umarbek Eshmurodov ends national team career

Uzbekistan national team defender Umarbek Eshmurodov has announced that he is ending his career with the national team. The footballer announced this on his Instagram page.
The experienced central defender played for the country’s main team for several years and took part in many international tournaments and qualifying matches.
“The national team is a dream, honor, dignity and pride... Now we continue as fans,” Eshmurodov wrote.
The 33-year-old Eshmurodov also took part in the World Cup with the national team. The Nasaf defender remained on the bench in all matches held in South America.
Although the footballer is ending his national team career, he will continue playing at club level. Eshmurodov’s current contract with the Kashkadarya side is valid until the end of 2026.
For reference, Umarbek Eshmurodov played 16 matches for the national team in all official competitions.
