The Taekwondo WT World Championship is currently being held in Guadalajara, Mexico. Two representatives of Uzbekistan took part in the debates on 16 November.
Tokyo-2020 Olympic champion Ulugbek Rashidov in the -68 kg weight category defeated Puerto Rico's Adrian Benitez with a large score in two rounds and proceeded to the next round. In the quarter-finals, Rashitov met Javad Agayev from Azerbaijan, lost the opportunity with a score of 1:2, and ended his progress in the competition.
Zarnigor Husniddinova was defeated in the first round in the women's -49 kg category and stopped competing for medals.
For information, at the end of the competition, Javad Agayev, the representative of Azerbaijan, who defeated Ulugbek Rashidov in the -68 kg category, won a bronze medal. South Korean Do-Yun Kwon won in the -68-weight category.
