Taekwondo. Uzbekistan recorded a historic result at the World Championship

The Taekwondo WT World Championship, hosted by Guadalajara, Mexico, has come to an end. Representatives of Uzbekistan took part in the World Cup and were recognized as some of the strongest participants.

Uzbekistan's Amir Torayev (-58 kg) and Zuhra Tojimatova (-46 kg), who competed on the last day of the tournament, left the competition in the 1/32 finals, but even so, the World Cup in Mexico was of historical significance for Uzbekistan.

Uzbek taekwondo players won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals at the World Championship, a total of 4 medals.

Gold Medal:
+73 kg: Svetlana Osipova.

Silver Medal:
-63 kg: Niyaz Polatov.

Bronze medal:
-87 kg: Nikita Rafalovich;
-62 kg: Feruza Sodikova.
