Earlier, it was reported that Turkmenistan will provide free liquefied gas to Uzbekistan in support, friendship and brotherhood.  President Serdar Berdymukhamedov signed a decree on this. Yesterday, 19 February, wagons loaded with free liquefied gas arrived in Uzbekistan from Turkmenistan.  This was reported by the regional gas supply press service.

It is noted that 2,000 tons of gas sent to further strengthen good-neighborly, friendly, and fraternal relations between the two countries, to support Uzbekistan with friendship and brotherhood, is being distributed to the residents of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region.

It should be recalled that an accident occurred in Turkmenistan's Galkinish at the height of the anomalous cold in January of this year, due to the failure of low-quality drying sensors. Therefore, on 12 January, Turkmenistan stopped supplying gas to Uzbekistan.  Following this, six officials of "Turkmen gas" were arrested.

Then, starting from 21 January, Turkmenistan restored the export of gas to Uzbekistan and delivered 4.8 million cubic meters of gas.
