Major car fraudster from Uzbekistan was apprehended in Turkey

14193On August 3, Jahongir Khasanboev, who had been implicated in significant car fraud, was arrested in Turkey and subsequently deported to Uzbekistan. This information was provided by the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
It was reported that Khasanboev was apprehended this year in Istanbul as part of a joint operation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey and Uzbekistan. The 45-year-old Khasanboev, who had been sought since 2014 for numerous fraudulent activities related to car sales, was deported to Uzbekistan with the assistance of the General Consulate staff.
"Individuals who have been affected by the actions of this person are urged to contact the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, or its subordinate agencies. Criminal prosecution will be pursued rigorously, and the principle of accountability for crimes will be strictly enforced against anyone evading justice in foreign countries, including Turkey," the report stated.
Additionally, it is noteworthy that an Uzbek national sought by Interpol was previously arrested in Kyrgyzstan.
