A 74-year-old woman, who had traveled to Istanbul, Turkey as a tourist and had her money and documents stolen, was returned to Uzbekistan on October 4. This was reported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.

The 74-year-old citizen, K.G., arrived at the General Consulate at around 8:05 PM. Being stranded in Istanbul without money or documents, she requested assistance in returning to Uzbekistan.

It was revealed that the woman had flown from Tashkent to Istanbul on September 27 as a tourist. However, on October 4, her wallet was stolen at one of the shopping centers in Turkey.

Given the applicant’s age and the fact that she had a return ticket, the General Consulate promptly issued a certificate of return and accompanied her to the airport.

For context, we remind you that three minor children, who had been left without parental care in Istanbul, Turkey, for various reasons, were previously brought back to Uzbekistan.
