A new mosque built with the participation of Uzbekistan has been officially opened in Hatay province, Türkiye. This was reported by Dunyo.
According to the report, the mosque was named “Bukhara” as a symbol of gratitude for the Uzbek people’s solidarity and assistance during a difficult period for Türkiye.
The mosque is located at the center of a large residential complex comprising around 3,200 households and can accommodate up to 500 worshippers at a time. The building stands out for its modern architecture, comfortable conditions and aesthetic design.
At the end of the event, participants emphasized that the project would contribute to further strengthening friendly relations and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
It is worth noting that on January 29 this year, during an official visit to Ankara, Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan launched the construction of an Uzbek school in Istanbul’s Bakırköy district.
In addition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also took part in the opening ceremony of the “Uzbekistan” residential complex built by Uzbekistan in Hatay province.
