Fifty Uzbek women have been returned to Uzbekistan from deportation centers in Turkey, the Migration Agency reported.

Negotiations between the Migration Agency and the Turkish Ministry of Labor and Social Protection focused on the legalization of Uzbek citizens residing in Turkey illegally.

As a result, Turkish authorities approved a proposal to register Uzbeks living in Turkey without administrative penalties and to issue residence and work permits as part of the legalization process.

It was also agreed to grant legal status to those working illegally in the elderly care, child care, and agriculture sectors.

Additionally, the Migration Fund purchased air tickets for 50 women in Turkish deportation centers to facilitate their return to Uzbekistan. Following these talks, the governments of Uzbekistan and Turkey agreed to develop a new agreement titled "On Social Protection."

Earlier, a citizen accused of fraud was arrested in Istanbul and deported to Uzbekistan.
