1711On September 9, the Honorary Consulate of Uzbekistan was officially opened in Trabzon, Turkey. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
The honorary consulate is located in front of the Trabzon regional governor's office.
"Following Bursa, Adana, and Antalya, the honorary consulate in Trabzon marks the fourth such establishment and holds a special place in the relations between Turkey and Uzbekistan," the report states.
An honorary consulate serves as a representative office aimed at developing trade, cultural, and diplomatic relations between countries.
It is worth noting that in April of this year, Uzbekistan's first honorary consulate in Azerbaijan was opened in Ganja, one of the country’s ancient cities.
