25177The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul issued a warning to the citizens of Uzbekistan. This was reported on the official Telegram channel of the consulate.
It is noted that the consulate has recently received frequent reports through social networks, mass media, and law enforcement agencies that citizens of Uzbekistan have become participants in various crimes and other violations committed on the territory of Turkiye.
"To prevent you from suffering or becoming guilty in such unfortunate situations, you must strictly comply with the requirements of the law of the country where you are a guest, do not risk to your life, health, or the property of yourself, or your loved ones. "We ask you once again to stay away from places and persons that can cause such situations, to take measures to prevent such situations, and to show mutual respect and help to our compatriots in a foreign country," the message reads.
It is noted that citizens have the right to demand immediate notification from the Consulate General if they are caught or detained by law enforcement agencies for any reason.
"At the same time, we ask you not to spread unverified information on social networks, to observe the privacy rights of citizens, and thereby protect yourself from becoming liable before the law," the consulate said in a message.
