Fire breaks out at shopping complex in Tashkent

A fire broke out today, February 11, at a shopping complex near the Novza metro station in Tashkent’s Chilanzar district, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The ministry said the fire started on the roof of the building. Rescue teams and firefighting units were dispatched to the scene immediately after the report was received.
Emergency services evacuated everyone inside the building, and the fire was fully extinguished at 6:19 p.m.
Preliminary information indicates that no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
Earlier, a major fire occurred at the Aviator shopping and entertainment center in Tashkent’s Yashnabad district. A two-year-old girl died as a result of that incident. Following the tragedy, inspections were carried out at shopping complexes across the capital, and facilities that failed to meet safety requirements were closed.
