One person died in an explosion in Tashkent

One person died and 16 injured in an explosion at a copper pipe production workshop located on Astrobod Street, Chilonzor district of Tashkent city. This information was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to reports, the explosion took place in the one-story shed (hangar) of the workshop due to a violation of the technological process, resulting in a fire. Consequently, the workshop’s roof structure collapsed, and the interior along with the machines burned over an area of 50 square meters.

Fire-rescue crews and employees from relevant organizations, under the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the city’s Emergency Situations Department, promptly arrived at the scene. They are currently working to mitigate the situation’s consequences.

As a result of the accident, one person died on the spot, and 16 individuals sustained various injuries and were admitted to the Republican Emergency Medical Research Center.
