15280On July 1, the body of an unidentified man with injuries was found on a street in Tashkent. Hayot Shamsutdinov, the press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, informed QALAMPIR.UZ about the incident.
At 06:03, the main department of internal affairs in Tashkent City received a report via emergency number 102, stating that the body of an unknown man was found on the lawn in front of house number 4, Oltintopgan Street, Bektemir district. An investigative team and district officials promptly arrived at the scene.
The investigation revealed that the body belonged to a man born in 1984 who was permanently registered in Samarkand. Preliminary findings indicated cuts on his wrists, neck, and left thigh. A blood-stained knife was found near the body and taken into evidence.
Video surveillance footage from the scene and surrounding area was reviewed. A conversation with a Nexia driver, who was born in 2001 in the Kashkadarya region and temporarily resided in the Bektemir district, revealed that the deceased had told the driver he had consumed alcohol and intended to commit suicide, subsequently injuring himself with a knife. The driver stated he had dropped the passenger off because his car was covered in blood.
Authorities are conducting urgent inquiries to determine the deceased's close relations, residence, and occupation.
