Wild boar was shot and killed illegally in Tashkent

6981On October 4, individuals who illegally shot and killed a wild boar in Angren, Tashkent region, were fined. The Regional Department of Ecology reported this.
It was noted that, in cooperation with employees of the Department of Ecology, the National Guard, and local law enforcement agencies, a control operation was carried out in the "Jigaristan" neighborhood of Angren city.
During the event, citizens I.Z. and Y.B. were discovered to have shot and killed a wild boar in the mountainous area of the neighborhood using a hunting weapon. The incident resulted in an estimated damage of 16 million 875 thousand soums to the local wildlife. An administrative report was filed under Part 3 of Article 90 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (Violation of Hunting and Fishing Rules, as well as other types of animal use), and a fine of 7 million 500 thousand soums was imposed on them.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, during a raid in the Navbahar district of the Navoi region, three citizens were found illegally fishing in the Zarafshan River using electric rods. The offenders caught 26 white carp, 8 grass carp, 6 pike, 32 Zagora, 32 Lakka, 249 Samarkand bream, and 46 Turkestan whiskered fish, the latter of which are listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan. The illegal activity caused an estimated environmental damage of 6 billion 324 million soums.
