Police seize cannabis plants in Mirabad district drug bust (video)

Law enforcement in Mirabad district, Tashkent, discovered individuals cultivating narcotic plants inside their residence, according to the capital’s Main Police Department.

As part of the "Safe and Healthy Nation" operation, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department conducted an inspection at a local home in Mirabad district, where they found cannabis plants being cultivated.

Officials confiscated 12 plants, measuring between 60 cm and 170 cm in height. Additionally, dried and prepared cannabis substances were found in the residence, indicating they were ready for consumption. All illegal substances were seized in the presence of witnesses.

In a separate incident within the same district, another resident was caught cultivating narcotic plants. Upon noticing law enforcement, the suspect attempted to dispose of the evidence by flushing it away, but officers successfully seized the illegal substances and sent them for expert analysis.

Earlier, in the Fergana region, a man was arrested for growing over 55,000 poppy plants and 40 cannabis plants on his property.
