A man who grew cannabis at home is arrested in Tashkent

A criminal case has been initiated against a man who cultivated cannabis at his residence in the Bektemir district of Tashkent. This information was reported by the city's DIA Information Service.

According to the report, the individual responsible for planting and nurturing cannabis in a residential house was identified during a rapid operation carried out by the rapid investigation service of the Tashkent city DIA and the criminal investigation department of the Bektemir district internal affairs coordination department.

In a concealed area of the person's yard, 27 cannabis-like plants ranging in height from 90 to 190 centimeters were discovered, and physical evidence was obtained in the presence of witnesses.

The plants, which were seized by the officers of the criminal investigation department, were transferred to the expert-criminology center of the main department of internal affairs of the city for examination.

The results of the expert examinations confirmed that these plants are a prohibited species known as cannabis.

As a result of this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 270, Part 1 of the Criminal Code, and it is reported that the preliminary investigation is currently ongoing.
