A new way to reduce traffic has been found in Tashkent

In order to reduce traffic in the capital city of Tashkent, parking lots will be built near the last and second stations of the Tashkent metro.  This was announced yesterday, on August 16, during the presentation of the projects in the fields of transport, energy and industry by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

It is said that the main purpose of this is to create conditions for people to leave their personal cars in front of the metro station and go to the inner city by public transport.

Also, during the presentation, attention was paid to the issue of increasing energy capacity in the country.  In particular, it was said that measures are being taken to strengthen the resilience of electricity networks in the capital and to integrate alternative energy sources.  33 projects with a total capacity of 13,777 megawatts have been developed in the renewable energy network.

In addition, the presentation also provided information about the indicators and plans for the development of industry in the city of Tashkent.  It is noted that today more than 34 percent of the economy is contributed by the industry of Tashkent city.  Last year alone, products worth 110 trillion sums were produced.  Growth was particularly high in the food, metallurgy, and textile industries.
