Ambulance staff are beaten up in Tashkent

13117Reports have spread on social networks that ambulance employees were beaten up in the Mirabad district of Tashkent. The Ministry of Health supported official information about this situation.
It was found that yesterday, 16 October, around 18:50 p.m., an unknown 30-year-old man was found (unconscious) and bleeding in front of Temiryolchilar Street, 1/5, Mirabad District, Tashkent. An emergency medical service was called to the location.
After that, a 397th brigade “103” including doctor M.Z. as part of the paramedic team Z.Y. arrived at the scene of the call within a few minutes.
When the ambulance staff arrived at the address, a 22-year-old citizen M.A., who was reportedly ill on the street, was found. It is understood that he had attacked some people around him while in an unstable condition. When the mobile brigade “103” tried to provide him with first aid, the aggressive citizen used force against the doctors and seriously damaged the ambulance service car.
Having seen that the incident was becoming more serious, the ambulance staff immediately contacted the district police. Before the arrival of law enforcement officers, citizen M.A. beat the driver of the brigade “103” I.G. and wounded him.
As a result, the severely injured ambulance driver was taken by another team to the Republican Scientific Emergency Medical Centre. According to the results of examinations, he was hospitalized in the neurosurgical department with the diagnosis of “closed brain trauma, concussion, rupture of the soft tissue of the left knee joint”.
In addition, the doctor of the mobile team M.Z., was examined by specialists as an outpatient in the hospital, and he was diagnosed with “inflammation of soft abdominal tissue”.
It is noted that the Ministry of Health has taken the situation under its control. The Ministry is also taking all necessary measures to provide a legal assessment of the situation within the framework of the law.
The situation is currently under review by the Mirabad Internal Affairs Department.
