A judge in Tashkent is facing prosecution

The Supreme Council of Judges has decided to hold Judge A. accountable for criminal charges in the Sergeli district court of Tashkent city. This decision was announced by the press service of the Supreme Council of Judges.

Today, on April 3, the Supreme Council of Judges convened for an open competition where they discussed the case of Judge A. from the Sergeli district court. The Prosecutor General presented evidence for criminal prosecution under relevant sections of the Criminal Code.

Following the Council's deliberation, it was decided to hold Judge A. accountable for criminal charges, leading to the suspension of his judicial duties. Due to the ongoing investigation and the presumption of innocence, further details will not be disclosed.

It was previously reported that Judge A. from the Sergeli district court was apprehended while accepting a bribe of $15,000.
