A 19-year-old man was arrested for sexual misconduct in Tashkent and sentenced to five days of administrative detention.
According to Aziz Obidov, the press secretary of the Supreme Court, the individual, born in 2005 in the Kashkadarya region, pursued an underage girl on a street in Tashkent, attempting to hug and kiss her. When the girl screamed and called for help, he fled the scene.
The Mirzo Ulugbek District Court for Criminal Cases found the offender guilty under Part 1 of Article 41-1 (Sexual Misconduct) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
Earlier, a teacher in Tashkent received the same sentence for sexually abusing 3rd-grade girls, as ruled by the Mirabad District Criminal Court under the same legal provision.
