About 550 trees are burned in Tashkent

More than 500 trees were revealed to have been burned in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent.  This was reported by the MP of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (Parliament) Rasul Kusherbayev referring to the Prosecutor’s Office of Tashkent.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, a total of 533 trees, including 2 nut trees, 446 plum trees, and 83 poplar trees, were burned by unknown persons in the territory of the “Musamuxamedova-Djurayeva Dilfuza” farm in the Yashnabad district. 

The Prosecutor’s Office of Yashnabad District initiated criminal proceedings under article 198, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

The preliminary investigation is being carried out by the investigation department under the administration of citizen’s applications of Internal Affairs bodies of Yashnabad District.

"We once again call everyone to respect the requirements of the moratorium and refrain from the destruction of trees," – Kusherbayev said.

Earlier it was reported that the Military Prosecutor had valuable trees cut down in Bukhara.  The General Prosecutor’s Office said that it was investigating the situation.  However, the results have not yet been reported.
